Wilmington, MA Proto-Pac Engineering, Inc, an Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider since 1968, has had its certification renewed for OSHA's Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). The program recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Proto-Pac was first accepted into the SHARP Program in April of 2005
Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out Proto-Pac Engineering from among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.
Because of SHARP recognition, Proto-Pac’s worksite is exempt from programmed inspections during the period that the SHARP certification is valid.
Proto-Pac Engineering is now 1 of only 13 companies in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to receive the award and 1 of only 31 in all of New England.
For over thirty-five years Proto-Pac has served OEM’s in the Northeast with small to mid-volume and high mix production requirements. In addition to through hole, surface mount and mixed technology printed circuit board assembly in either consignment or turnkey modes, Proto-Pac also provides quick-turn prototyping, new product introduction (NPI) services with design for manufacturability (DFM) reporting, box build, functional and in-circuit testing (ICT) along with engineering change order (ECO) and rework services.
