Brownsville, VT  On November 5, 2007, the Division of Occupational Safety of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Labor recognized Proto-Pac Engineering, Inc. as one of only four New England companies as the "Sharpest of the Sharp."

In a letter to Proto-Pac's Quality Assurance Manager, Guylaine Harris, dated December 11, 2007,  the OSHA On-Site Consutation Program Supervisor, Kathryn Swanson Flannery wrote:

"Congratulations on being one of the four companies awarded the 'Sharpest of SHARP' recognition at the November 5, 2007 SHARP luncheon at the Ascutney Mountain Resort in Brownsville, VT.  The awards were given to those companies that had a 2006 DART rate of zero.  You should be proud of your accomplishments ...."

Proto-Pac Engineering, Inc, an Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider since 1968, was accepted into OSHA's Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) in April of 2005.  The program recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system.

Acceptance into SHARP by OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out Proto-Pac Engineering from among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.

Proto-Pac Engineering is curently 1 of only 13 companies in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to receive the award and 1 of only 31 in all of New England.
